The Slow Demise of Super Soap Weekend!
Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 07:57AM With the recent blow from Mr. Brian Frons, announcing via SOAPnet.com that this will definitely be the last year for the beloved event Super Soap Weekend, it has many fans divided, some are happy , with the hope that his promises of a new Soap Nation will somehow bring their faves to their neighborhoods, and there are some who feel these are empty promises once again, and it is just another sign of the Soap World crashing around us, and is slowly heading towards the demise of Daytime as we know it. For some fans, SSW wasn't just about meeting the stars , it became a tradition for soapfans alike to get together once a year and be with those they have become friends with only because of the avenue of SSW allowed it to happen. Some have even called it their own version of a sorority. It is truly sad that TPTB, once again has decided for every fan in the NATION, they now call "Soap Nation" .
